DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The city of Duluth is working to get roads cleared after Tuesday night’s snowstorm.
Plow crews have been clearing roadways since 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Beginning at 2 a.m. Wednesday, plow crews were fully staffed and working to clear Priority 1 roadways, which are high-traffic main roads.
Crews are continuing to work on Priority 1 roadways Wednesday morning, as well as Priority 2 roads, which include residential roadways.
City leaders said plow crews hope to get to Priority 3 roads shortly after.
Plow operators are asking residents to avoid driving if possible and to give plows plenty of room to operate.
City officials said illegally parked cars are hampering plowing progress.
Alternate side parking is on the odd side of the street this week.
