ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department said a man is dead after a stabbing in an apartment complex building early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the Huntley apartments located at 1000 Park Ave. NE at around 12:30 a.m. in reference to a stabbing, police said.

Once they were on scene, officers said they found a man lying in the hallway with a stab wound to the chest. When Grady EMS arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
