WABASHA, Minn. — Three duck hunters were rescued from the Mississippi River after their boat capsized near Weaver Landing around 6 am Wednesday, according to the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office.

Captain Curtis Struwe says local duck hunters aided in bringing the individuals to shore. Emergency services, including the Wabasha Fire Department, Wabasha Ambulance, Kellogg Fire Department, Lake City Ambulance, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, responded to the scene.

The hunters were transported to the hospital and Captain Struwe says they are believed to be in stable condition.
