Millions of UK households are set to save an average of £150 on energy bills from next year, the Chancellor has announced. Rachel Reeves delivered her Autumn Budget to the House of Commons on Wednesday (November 26) where she shared her financial plans in a bid to plug the huge black hole in public finances.
Amongst the major announcements were the removal of the two-child benefit cap, a minimum wage increase, a lock on income tax thresholds, the removal of certain pension perks and the introduction of a new 'mansion tax'. Households across the UK will now see a £150 cut to their energy bills from April 2026.
