Rachel Reeves' Autumn Budget has confirmed changes will be made on whether some earners pay national insurance on their salary-sacrificed pension contributions.

The Chancellor has revealed in her Budget announcement today (November 26) that an annual £2,000 cap will be placed on salary-sacrificed pension contributions, which will see any earners exceeding this figure now having to pay national insurance on their contribution.

Salary sacrifice schemes allow employees to give up a portion of their future salary in exchange for an employer-provided benefit, such as a higher percentage contribution.
