QUAD CITIES Ill./Iowa (KWQC) - Hundreds of MidAmerican customers in Illinois are without power Wednesday morning.
At about 11 a.m., 190 customers were without power, according to the MidAmerican outage map .
The map showed the outages were primarily in Rock Island and Mercer counties.
Only five customers were without power in the Iowa Quad Cities at about 6:30 a.m.
At about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, there were nearly 1,000 customers without power in the Illinois Quad Cities, according to the outage map.
A representative with MidAmerican said it is likely the outages were caused by high winds in the service area.
