ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - Police found a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound Tuesday night.

Police received calls about gunfire and a person being struck about 9:31 p.m. in the 800 block of 14th Street, according to the Rock Island Police Department.

Officers went to the area and found a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, officials said.

The man was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
