MASON CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - A northern Iowa family is feeling extra grateful this holiday season.

Sherry Zurn welcomed her great, great twin grandbabies into the world at the same hospital she had her own twin babies.

Parents Bria Ott and Cooper Reason, from Nora Springs, had twin girls, Taytum and Teagan.

The two were born Sunday at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center.

Seventy-two years ago, Zurn came to the same hospital. She didn’t know she was pregnant with twins. She was surprised when she gave birth to twin boys, Gary and Jerry.

It’s a moment of deja vu for the Mason City grandmother, who’s feeling double the love just in time for Thanksgiving.
