LEXINGTON, Neb. (KSNB) - A Lexington woman was arrested Tuesday after committing a spree of crimes including stealing a car, hitting pedestrians, fleeing the scene and then lighting the car on fire, police say.
At approximately 7:35 p.m., Lexington Police responded to a pedestrian/vehicle accident at the intersection of 11th and Washington streets. According to police, a 12-year-old boy and 34-year-old woman were struck by a vehicle while crossing the roadway.
The boy was not injured, and the woman was transported to Lexington Regional Health Center for treatment and was later transferred to another medical facility due to the severity of her injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene, police said.
