An appellate court has ordered a new trial for a Michigan man convicted of aggravated murder last year for the 2022 death of his girlfriend’s 3-year-old son.
Ohio’s Sixth District Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that Judge Linda Jennings’ exclusion of an expert witness proposed by Michael Kitto’s defense and trial rulings that limited the defense’s cross examination of a prosecution expert denied Kitto a fair trial in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
