LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas interim head coach Bobby Petrino posted a thank you letter to fans online as rumors swirled on Wednesday that the Hogs could be deciding on a new head coach soon.

Petrino's post online comes as massive speculation began brewing around the head coach vacancy after Trey Schaap reported that Alex Golesh could soon be the next coach for the Razorback football team.

In his post on X, Petrino thanked the Razorback program and its fans for a second chance and stated that it was an "honor and privilege" to return to the Arkansas sideline.

"Whatever the future holds, I'll always be grateful for the opportunity to lead this team again and to be a part of the Arkansas community once more," Petrino said to close out his online statement.
