GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The Burger King at 2204 Plainfield Ave. NE has reopened after temporarily shutting down in late 2024.

The Plainfield Avenue restaurant was just one of several West Michigan locations that closed in 2024. During the summer, however, the restaurant began to show signs of life once again, with contractors seen working on the interior and a sign out front inviting people to apply for jobs at carrols.com .

A manager at the Plainfield restaurant recently confirmed to MLive/the Grand Rapids Press that the location recently reopened and is owned by Carrols Corporation but declined to give further information.

Based in Syracuse, N.Y., Carrols Corporation operates over 1,000 Burger King locations, according to its website .
