FRANKFORT, Ky. — Since 1989, the Kentucky State Police have held a fundraising effort that goes beyond the holidays. KSP is kicking off its annual Trooper Teddy sale.
This statewide program, known as the Trooper Teddy Project, offers stuffed animals to children who have experienced traumatic events such as car accidents, abuse or those with terminal illnesses.
The Black Friday sale runs from Nov. 27 through Dec. 2 and the signature bears are being sold at a special rate of $20. The program runs totally on charitable contributions and bear sales.
