NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man is facing a slew of charges after he woke up in his SUV and led officers on a dangerous pursuit from South Nashville to the Edgehill neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers were asked to check on a white SUV parked at the intersection of North Hill Street and Thomas Street around 1:30 a.m.

The officers approached and found 32-year-old Rober Moore asleep in the driver’s seat while holding a “tan semi-automatic handgun.”

Moore reportedly woke up and immediately sped away, prompting officers to pursue his SUV, according to the affidavit.
