Rockville High School has a brand-new state-of-the-art $1.7-million aquaculture lab that students are settling into. It’s part of the school’s Agriculture, Science, and Technology Education Program.

The lab is complete with all sorts of tech and resources for students to learn about aquaculture.

Aquaculture is the sector of agriculture related to the farming of plants and animals for food or other human purposes.

“It’s really cool this is the norm for our ag, ag chapter here,” said Hannah Dunton, a senior at Rockville High.

She is part of the first class that got to experience this new space.

“It’s really exciting that the time I chose to take aqua was when we have an aqua lab,” Dunton said.
