A Mercedes-Benz was stolen from a rest stop on Interstate 95 South in Fairfield, and there was a cat inside, police said.
Troopers said a 2021 silver Mercedes-AMG was taken from a parking spot with the keys still inside. The car had a Massachusetts license plate which read "MEDI."

The theft happened around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Troop G at 203-696-2500.
The vehicle, nor the cat, have been located at this time. An investigation is underway.
