SOUTH HURON – A task force created by South Huron Mayor George Finch last spring to look into local health-care concerns returned with an update at council’s Nov. 17 meeting.
Formed by Finch in May while the Huron Health System was embarking on a master plan process, the mayor’s task force on regional health care consists of councillors Wendy McLeod-Haggitt, Ted Oke and Marissa Vaughan.

The task force met in October, and Oke informed council that the Huron Health System, which oversees Exeter’s South Huron Hospital and Goderich’s Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, has put its master plan on hold while it awaits budget approval to move forward.
