DOVER, N.H. —

With Thanksgiving this week, one Seacoast organization wants to make sure everyone who wants a meal can have one.

For the 17th year, the Thanks4Giving Charity served a warm Thanksgiving meal to hundreds of people.

The effort started as an idea to find a way to give back to those who need it most.

"This has been a really tough year, and the energy is through the roof, through the roof," said organizer Mike Steinberg. "Everybody's excited about helping out, and a lot of people really need the help."

Those invited to the feast Wednesday at Roost Restaurant in Dover were living in assisted living or their children's homes, or were homeless or food insecure. The event this year served a record 1,100 people.
