MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The Thanksgiving festivities started bright and early Thursday morning at the Sweeney Post in Manchester.

Military veterans turned out for a 50-year tradition, getting breakfast and raising money for American Legion baseball in the Queen City.

The fundraiser helps them cover costs for next season, ensuring players don’t have to pay.

In 2028, the Post will be celebrating a full century of Legion Ball in New Hampshire.
