Two men killed in a double shooting in the Tulane-Gravier area over the weekend were identified Wednesday afternoon by the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office.

Officers responded to reports of the shooting at around 9:20 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Miro Street, where they found Chase Henderson Jr. and Ja'Clarence Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Police said a suspect had approached the men as they sat in a vehicle and opened fire.

The victims were taken to the hospital, where Henderson, 18, died from his wounds shortly before midnight. Police confirmed on Sunday morning that Johnson, 21, had died overnight.
