PRESCOTT, Wash. - The Washington State Auditor released two new reports on the Prescott School District this week following a budget crisis stemming back to 2023.

The audit revealed large credit card expenditures from the district, with auditors calling thousands of dollars worth "unsupported."

Unsupported transactions from 2023-2024 totaled more than $22,000.

Washington State Superintendent Chris Reykdal placed the district on enhanced financial monitoring in June 2025.

The district has not yet publicly responded to the audit.
