NEWARK, N.J. – Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has a message for travelers: stop wearing pajamas on planes. Speaking at Newark Airport in New Jersey on Monday, Duffy addressed a decline in civility and other issues at airports.
"I call this just maybe dressing with some respect," Duffy said. "Whether it's a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better, which encourages us to maybe behave a little better."
Duffy pointed out that wearing slippers and pajamas at airports is not ideal. "Let's try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport," he said.
Duffy is launching a "civility campaign" to promote courtesy and patience during holiday travel.
