As the lights glow in the windows of the United Way office in Belleville, a group of volunteers gathers around a table at the end of a long workday.
Laptops are open, notes are spread out, and coffee cups are still warm. It’s late, but their energy hasn’t faded because what brings them together isn’t obligation, it’s purpose.
That spirit is what drives the United Way Hastings and Prince Edward (UWHPE) annual campaign. It is powered not by numbers, but by people, giving their time so that others can stand a little taller.
