WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - Made public Wednesday, the emails called evidence in a recent ethics complaint filed by three Watertown city council members against Council Members Lisa Ruggiero and Cliff Olney.
Dozens of emails released by Council Member Cliff Olney show city council discourse dating back to 2022.
Many of them, forwarded or “blind carbon copied” to developer PJ Simao.
The emails are the subject of an ethics complaint filed by Mayor Sarah Pierce and Council Members Ben Shoen and Robert Kimball on November 18th. That complaint, against their colleagues, Council Members Lisa Ruggiero and Cliff Olney.
The complaint claims emails with confidential legal advice related to litigation were forwarded to local developers. Another, that internal city emails regarding the Watertown
