Actor and singer Michael DeLano, who played lounge singer Johnny Venture on the popular 1970s sitcom “Rhoda,” has died. He was 84.
His wife Jean Delano told the Hollywood Reporter that he died due to complications from a heart attack on Oct. 20.
DeLano appeared in 11 episodes of “Rhoda” during seasons three and four of the show, between 1976-78.
He also played a casino manager in the 2001 George Clooney film “Ocean’s Eleven,” as well as the 2004 sequel, “Ocean’s Twelve.”
His other roles include the short-lived television series “Firehouse,” “Supertrain” and “Flamingo Road.” He also played car salesman Forrestal in the 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger film “Commando.”
In addition, he performed regularly at the Dispensary Lounge on Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas.
