ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says a man has been charged after he threatened a child that was asking for a meal.

Sheriff Ravenell says 44-year-old Thomas Baker has been charged with unlawful conduct toward a child.

Deputies responded on Saturday, Nov. 23, to a Beason Road home where a male wanted a child removed from the property.

The man said the 11-year-old juvenile was being unruly, according to a report.

Additionally, deputies say the juvenile told them he had asked for something to eat when he received a reply of, “get the (expletive) out of my room or I’m going to wreck your (expletive) face”.

Law enforcement says similar statements continued to the point of, “you need to take a knife and stab it in the neck and pull it that way”.
