PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police are investigating a deadly double shooting overnight at a central Phoenix apartment complex.

Officers responded to the area of Roosevelt and 19th streets around 10 p.m. on Tuesday for reports of a shooting.

Phoenix Police said when officers got to the scene, they found two men who had been shot. One was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other is hospitalized with serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said a third man was involved in this incident, but he fled the scene before officers arrived.

Bullet casings could be seen around the area as an investigation began into what led to this shooting.
