COTTONWOOD, AZ (AZFamily) — A Mesa woman was arrested and is accused of posing as a nurse and treating patients using another woman’s nursing license.
Christine Muturi Lewis is facing multiple counts of forgery, fraud schemes, practicing nursing with a fraudulent license and computer tampering.
According to court documents, Lewis was hired by Northern Arizona Hospice (NAZ) in Cottonwood as a registered nurse in August.
In her application and resume, Lewis said she had worked as a triage nurse at a hospital in Las Vegas from February 2019 to March 2022.
She described herself as a “compassionate and highly skilled registered nurse” with more than four years’ experience in hospice triage and on-call services.
She submitted a Colorado nursing license that was valid in multiple states.
