SCOTTSDALE (AZFamily) — Golf-cart drivers in Old Town Scottsdale say they are preparing for what they expect will be their busiest night of the year as bar-goers celebrate Thanksgiving Eve.
Paul McNeil, who recently started driving a golf cart to shuttle people between bars, said fellow drivers warned him to expect a big night.
“I love it, it’s a retirement job, I get to meet all kinds of interesting people,” McNeil said. “Rumor has it, it’s supposed to be really busy.”
Veteran driver Travis Arbaugh, who has been driving his cart for eight years, said Thanksgiving Eve is always the busiest night of the year.
He normally doesn’t work Wednesdays but said he couldn’t miss out on the opportunity.
