FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Reedley man with a history of DUI now faces a murder charge for a crash that killed a 17-year-old boy.
CHP investigators determined 27-year-old Daniel Lemus was driving drunk on November 7 when he hit a car at a red light at Manning and Mendocino.
Authorities say Lemus then sped off and struck another car.
The 17-year-old driver in the second vehicle died days later from their injuries.
Selma Police say they previously arrested Lemus for driving drunk.
In 2021, he was convicted of vehicular manslaughter for a crash that killed an eight-year-old boy.
Lemus is scheduled to be arraigned on December 1.
If convicted in this current case, he faces a maximum of 15 years to life in prison.
