ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - A mid-coast Maine tradition is turning 20 years old this year.
Rockland’s Lobster Trap Tree was put up last week for all of those driving through the town to see.
The 40-foot-tall structure is built of over 200 actual lobster traps, Christmas lights and lobster buoys.
You can check it at the Mildred B. Merrill Park which is also the site of the town’s Lobster Fest looking right over the water.
On Friday, Santa will be at Harbor Park at noon and the official lighting of the tree will take place at 6.
Rockland will also host their Parade of Lights on Saturday.
