LEXINGTON, Ky. —
No. 19 Kentucky tipped off its holiday week with a win over visiting Tennessee Tech.
The Wildcats started off sluggish, only leading the Golden Eagles 10-8 five minutes into the game. Both teams would continue the back and forth scoring until the six-minute mark in the first half, when Kentucky would go on a 7-0 run and put some space between themselves and Tennessee Tech.
Kentucky led by 15 at the half, and that momentum late in the first half would carry over into the second.
The Wildcats put up 61 points in the second half for a 104-54 win.
As a team, Kentucky shot 59% from the field and 50% from behind the arc, sinking 15 three-pointers. UK was also effective in the paint, scoring 48 points down low.
