Los Padres ForestWatch has appointed Keri Setnicka as its new communications director as the nonprofit launches its Wine for Wilderness Passport , a special fundraising initiative connecting the region’s wine industry with conservation efforts in Los Padres National Forest and Carrizo Plain National Monument.
Setnicka, whose background is in conservation and community storytelling, expressed her excitement about sharing stories that inspire people to care about — and stand up for — the wild places that make the Central Coast so special.
"My goal is to highlight urgent conservation issues, showcase what naturally makes this region so unique, and help everyone feel connected to the effort to protect it,” she said.
