FARGO — Feelings of familiarity were rekindled in north Fargo on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
People had the chance to take a walk down memory lane through a self-guided tour at Horace Mann Elementary School before the school is gone for good.
Some in attendance recalled memories of their first classroom, as well as features of the school that have since been re-purposed.
For instance, Adam Korstad pointed out an old computer lab that is now additional instructional space.
The library in the adjacent room is still there, and it was filled with documents from across the school's 110-year history, such as yearbooks from the 1960s and PTA records from the 1930s.
With the building set to be demolished after the current school year, the tour serves as an opportunity to check in on an old friend.
