LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A man is dead after being shot in the Parkland neighborhood Wednesday night.

Louisville Metro Police Department responded to the 1000 block of South 29th Street around 10:45 p.m. about the shooting.

Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. They said he was unconscious and not breathing.

The man was taken to UofL Hospital, where he died.

No arrests have been made.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
