RICHLAND, Wash. - The community came together for the 3rd Annual Community Based Transition Center (CBTC) Turkey Drive, making a big impact this Thanksgiving.
More than 150 Richland School District families received Thanksgiving baskets, with about 40 more scheduled for delivery next week. Many baskets were delivered directly to families.
Over 20 community volunteers and Hanford High School athletes played a key role in the event.
RSD secondary schools and teams collected more than 6,000 items through a food drive competition.
More than 60 community members, families and businesses contributed to purchasing turkeys, pies and other items.
