A man's body was discovered in the grounds of a Leicestershire school this morning, leading to a significant police response. The grim find was made on Townend Road in Barwell, near Hinckley, early this morning (Thursday, November 27), with police confirming they were alerted to the situation around 7.30am.

The location is the same road as Barwell Infant School, and forensic teams are currently on site, with uniformed officers also present in the vicinity. Leicestershire Police have released some preliminary details regarding the discovery of the man
