A body has been found in the grounds of a Midlands school this morning. Police are at the scene near Barwell Infant School in Barwell, Hinckley, around eight miles from Nuneaton .

Leicestershire Police confirmed the body of a man was found in Townend Road. Emergency services attended but sadly the man was pronounced dead on arrival.

The discovery was made around 7.30am this morning. Uniformed officers and forensics are on scene at the quiet residential street.

The body was found in the same road as the infant school, prompting a large emergency services response.
