WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - We are seeing gusty winds, lake effect rain, and snow showers this morning.
Lake effect is North of Watertown as of 6 AM, but it will start to shift south as we go throughout the morning hours. By the late morning hours, the lake effect band should be impacting the Watertown, Fort Drum, Carthage, and Star Lake areas.
This afternoon, the band of lake effect will shift South of Watertown, where it will become stronger with snowfall rates between 1 and 3 inches and hour.
Lake effect will eventually shift into CNY by Friday morning, and we will just see scattered snow showers throughout the day on Friday.
Saturday will be dry before rain and snow return on Sunday.
