The city of Chico’s red-light cameras are set to turn on and catch drivers who fail to stop when the traffic signal turns red.

Starting Sunday, the red-light camera at the intersection of Mangrove and East Ninth Avenues will mature from a 30-day warning period mode to full enforcement with violators receiving $465 traffic tickets.

Chico Police Department Sgt.
