ROMAINE MUNDLE is available to start Sunderland’s weekend home game with Bournemouth - but Habib Diarra is not yet able to return to full training.

Mundle has not featured in the first team since starting last season’s play-off final victory over Sheffield United, having suffered a serious hamstring during the early stages of pre-season.

The winger scored Sunderland Under-21s’ winner as they beat Sporting Lisbon in the Premier League International Cup last Thursday, though, and Regis Le Bris feels he is now ready to start if called upon.

Dennis Cirkin also featured in last week’s Under-21s’ win, but the full-back is slightly further behind in his recovery programme and Le Bris is more reluctant to thrust him into the starting ranks.
