A Georgian Bluffs resident who was wanted by police on an outstanding warrant has been arrested after stealing a vehicle and fleeing from police in Owen Sound on Wednesday.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., officers were patrolling in Owen Sound when they encountered a man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. When they attempted to arrest him, he fled on foot and stole an unattended vehicle, Grey Bruce OPP said in a news release.

The vehicle was located a short time later and a spike belt was deployed, which successfully disabled the vehicle before the individual was arrested without further incident, police said.
