FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro are giving a briefing Thursday morning to update the public on the National Guardsmen shooting in D.C.

The shooting took place on Wednesday afternoon, and critically injured two National Guardsmen from West Virginia near a Metro station in close proximity to the White House. The suspect is believed to be 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who reportedly entered the United States in 2021 and overstayed his visa .
