A top US trainer is facing the potential suspension of his licence over his welfare record after the deaths of four horses in his care. Rudy Rodriguez has trained more than 1,600 winners of over £62million in prize-money and has sent out 58 winners in 2025 from his base in New York.
The 53-year-old former jockey has had his welfare record challenged by the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority which issued a notice of violation and show cause which was published on Wednesday.
