A fourth-generation farmer from Perth County is one of two vice-presidents elected to the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) at its Nov. 26 annual general meeting.

Sara Wood, who farms with her family north of Mitchell, is a director-at-large with the federation. She’s a graduate of the University of Guelph and the advanced agricultural leadership program.

Drew Spoelstra of Binbrook was acclaimed to a third one-year term as president. Also returning to the OFA executive with Spoelstra for a second year is Ethan Wallace, the other vice-president, who farms just outside of Seaforth with his wife and children and represents Huron and Perth counties.

The OFA board chose its executive following the organization’s annual general meeting, which had “Strength in Unity”
