Chris Fahlman, the man accused of fatally shooting a woman while she travelled in a vehicle on a highway near Weyburn, Sask., will remain in custody.

Court of King's Bench Justice Michael Morris issued his decision Wednesday afternoon. A two-day bail hearing was held in Weyburn last week.

His reasons for the decision, as well as the evidence heard at the bail hearing, are covered by a publication ban to protect Fahlman's right to a fair trial.

Fahlman, 42, is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Tanya Myers, 44, and with intentionally firing a gun while being reckless to the life and safety of another person.
