The man charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Tanya Myers will remain behind bars.

In a ruling issued Wednesday afternoon at the Court of King's Bench in Weyburn, Justice Michael Morris denied bail for Chris Fahlman.

Fahlman, 42, had been seeking his release following a two-day show cause hearing held earlier this month. Justice Morris had reserved his decision at the conclusion of that hearing to review the submissions from the Crown and defense.

Fahlman is charged in relation to the September 12th death of 44-year-old Tanya Myers, who was fatally shot while riding as a passenger in an SUV on Highway 39 near Weyburn.
