GRAND BEND – Artists at Sunset Arts Gallery in Grand Bend launched their Christmas season with a special event Friday, Nov. 21, that included demonstrations, mocktails and treats, putting the spotlight on the variety of creations from the gallery’s 21 artists.

The gallery’s first-ever Santa’s Sack Event saw customers pick up a free gift on purchases of more than $100, while a portion of the gallery’s proceeds were donated to the Grand Bend Food Bank.

Artist Barbara Helen Pickett invites people to visit the gallery, which is situated at 63 River Rd. in Grand Bend and is open year round. This was the gallery’s first Christmas celebration, and Pickett said the artists keep coming up with fresh ideas to challenge and stretch themselves.
