After nearly 12 years on the dais, Randy Haverfield’s time on Nampa City Council is coming to an end Jan. 5, 2026.
Haverfield, who grew up in Boise but has lived in Nampa since 1979, is currently the longest-serving public official in Nampa. He has also served on a total of 10 boards, commissions and committees in that time. He will stop serving on those once he leaves the council.
Haverfield said he “got involved in the civic side of things” because of Tom Dale, who was the mayor at the time.
“Dale came to me and asked if I’d serve on the Airport Commission and the Planning and Zoning Commission,” Haverfield said. “And so I did.”
