GREENSBORO, N.C. — A warm holiday breakfast was served on Thanksgiving Day thanks to volunteers at St. Stephen United Church of Christ.

It opened its doors for its annual Thanksgiving breakfast.

The event has been held for 11 years, filling the church’s fellowship hall with people who need a hot meal or a welcoming place to spend the holiday.

“The need is great, some people don't have a family to spend Thanksgiving with,” organizer Kassinda White said. “It is one meal... let's take care of breakfast for you.”

For those who missed the Thanksgiving event, the church also distributes breakfast on Christmas Eve.
